You can take control of your party members by assigning them with specific orders or use them directly to cast a spell or use a skill. Loots are either sold or used in missions (side quests are available from time to time in town) and the levelling system reminiscences of the online version where you distribute your earned skill points into specific catergories according to your job. Using the stylus to inflict special skills on enemies by slashing at the right direction as described and using magic by tapping on the screen are a whole lot fun. The maps are easy to read as they are on top of the DS screen and mostly will be made visible once you have collected the map for it.

Even though the online version may have been old news, the DS version has a new outlook and offers fresh gameplay in every aspects. I have to say as I write this blog, I have played the DS version on Ragnarok months ago as it was released some time back, but I would still recommend this action RPG to any gamers who are in doubt.
I am not too fond of MMorpg for some particular reasons, mainly because I have a bad internet connection and this is definitely not good news to any online gamers. It sure brought back some sweet memories as it was my first and last ONLINE game. I still remembered it costs me more than a few hundred ringgit every month just so that I could level up my characters and keep my account alive. Ragnarok was my first online game many years ago, when I was still using dial-up to play. Very tempted but I haven’t execute the death sentence just yet:P I may well use the cheats in my DS to quickly get over with just in order to play for the story. Except for the acclaimed free roaming map, I found this game disappointing. If it isn’t because it’s an FF series, you swear you wouldn’t look twice as the graphics are very square looking and I just cannot give any credits to the graphic department. Our hero of the game, namely Brandt is looking really stout and the graphics are lame.
So, without delay, I downloaded it into my R4 card with my up-to-date firmware of 1.14.2 and it has been running smoothly, overriding the AP.Ĥ brand new characters, 2 cool guys and 2 girls teamed up in this adventure. I would never understand why they made another FF4 episode but the fact that it is a brand new one has every reason for me to get it.
